Archive of findings of representatives of Ophioglossaceae in Ukraine

All representatives of the adder's-tongue family ferns – Ophioglossaceae of Ukraine, as well as Europe as a whole, belong to the fraction of rare flora (Melnik, 2009; Bilz et al., 2011), therefore, it is necessary to monitoring study of the number of their populations. From 2004-10, when regional (Chorney et al, 2004; Tokaruk et al, 2005) or whole country generalizations prepared (Melnik, 2009; Parnikoza, 2010), new information has been gathered. In particular, there were publications devoted to the distribution of certain species in Ukraine (Bezsmertna, Geluta, 2013; Votkalchuk et al., 2014). V. Fomin Botanical Garden of National Taras Schevchenko, National University of Kyiv (KWHU), M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv (KWHA), I. I. Mechnickov National University of Odessa (MSUD), Yu. Fedkowich National University of Chernivtsy (CHER), V. N. Karazin National Univeristy of Kharkiv (CWU), Donetsk Botanical Garden of NAS of Ukraine (DNZ), Nikita Botanical Garden National research center, Yalta (YALT), Komarov Botanical Institute of RAS (LE) since the 19th century, as well as the archive of published inforamtion and personal communications. On the basis of this summary, an archive of data of the finds of the representatives of the given family was formed. The results of this work were presented in the publication:
However, the need to clarify the information and its updating have led us to the idea of creating a virtual resource, which will provide information relevant to the findings of the Ophioglossaceae flora of Ukraine for the current period. The archive consists of pages devoted to each type. Information about the findings is given in accordance with the administrative division of Ukraine with the indication of localities that were recorded before 1980 and after that (marked by italic font). Locks that existed before 1980 and confirmed later ( marked by massive font).
