2.6.9. Protecting of the memory of the first liberation struggle on the Dnieper floodplain in Kyiv

Currently, this category of objects within the floodplain part of Kyiv includes two objects:
1. Monument to the officers of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic – natives of Kyiv (6-a Marshala Malynovsky St.), which was erected on May 28, 2011 by the events of the charity initiative «Heroics». Dedicated to 34 officers of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Ukrainian State, who were natives of Kyiv. The monument was erected on the territory belonging to the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God «Neopalima Kupina» of the UOC-KP.
2. Sofia Rusova Street in Osokorki. Sofia Rusova (1856-1940). Ukrainian pedagogue, writer, public figure, member of the Central Council, chairman of the All-Ukrainian Teachers’ Union. During the times of the Ukrainian State she worked in the Ministry of Education. Lecturer at Kamyanets-Podilsky State Ukrainian University (1920). The street appeared in 2010 under the project name Nova XXXVII. The street has a modern name since 2011.
