Plasters from two ancient churches at Kudryavets, Kiev
Mednikova E.Y., Yegorkov A.N.
Analysis of plasters from two ruined architectural monuments, i.e. (I) the Church near the Art institute, sec. half of 11th cen., and (II) the Church at Voznesensky down, 12-13th cen., both situated at the place called Kudryavets, is carried out. All the plasters are made of lime with fillers. The plaster of monument I seems to be prepared with gradual passage from specially fired clay to powdered brick due to the lack of the former. The main plaster filler of more later monument II is the sand.
