Composition of glass pieces found in old russian mortars and plasters
A.N.Yegorkov
Composition of glass pieces found in Old Russian (X-XIII cen.) mortars and plasters measured by emission spectral analysis showed in many cases a predominance of potassium vs sodium and calcium vs magnesium. It suggests that the attempts of glass making with the use of domestic ash took place in Kiev as well as in other cities and the non-lead glass with the predominance of potassium vs sodium existent in Rus would not be in all the cases imported.
