Dnieper Biological Station on Trukhanov Island in 1910-1915

Since 1910 on the Trukhaniv Island in their own building near Chertoroy Dnieper Biological Station of Kiev Society nature lovers began it’s operations. This research was conducted river fauna and flora. Originally station housed in a wooden house on stilts near the isthmus between the Trukhaniv Island and Muromets Island. This ground of 17 acres of meadow city was taken to station by the partnership in leasing land use.
