Mesolithic Age of the Middle Podniprovye

In this paper the author covers the most characteristic monuments of Mesolith of Middle Podniprovye : Foundation pit of Kaniv hydropowerstation, the area (“urotchishtche”) of “Zagai”, where “the hoard”, containting macrolithic artifacts, which resemble axe-like tools, was discovered. All the microliths from the areas of finds, as a rule, are slightly-geometric. The peculiarity of the local culture in comparision with the most spreading west-european ones, has been noted. In conclusion the author proposes, that not numerous local population of Mesolithic Age took part in the composing of Neolithic, Old Pit and Trypillya cultures.
