We finish publishing historical novel "Ljudolovy (Kidnappers)" by Zynaida Tulub. Today – the chapter "The last attempt."
From all sides to Sahaydachnyi going walkers and complain of harassment by their masters. They argue Sahaydachnyi a heart attack… Sahaidachny wrote a letter to King outlining the complaints and demands of the Cossacks… Sahaidachny requests to Le Courtieux handed his letter to the king. Nastia leaves the her patient husband and went to defend some chattel… Balyka brings Sagaydachny response from the king – will commission against Cossacks. Shaken by the news Sahaidachny dies…

We continue publication of monograph "Cossack Ukraine of 16 – 18 centuries in the French historical studies" by E. Lunjak. Today – "4. 8. Geopolitical changes in South East Europe and the decline of the Cossack system in Ukraine in the coverage of French authors of the second half of the eighteenth century".
Appointment of new hetman of Ukraine Cyril – younger of them – caused a sensation and a new wave of interest in the person of the head of the "country of the Cossacks" in Europe.

January 7-9 a candidate member of the Politburo, Secretary of the CPSU V.I.Dolgih visited the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, areas of Kiev and Gomel regions.
